As happy as I am that it is now not federally funded, wtf went down there? I DON'T GET IT. He's the freaking Obamessiah if he can do that. I don't even get it... I'm amazed lol.

UGH lame sauce move dude. Who the heck does that? TO HIS CANCER STRICKEN WIFE?! Ick.

Now that sounds scientific:It even worse than I thought!

Being cool :p

Stop always needing to have the last word and sayin stupid stuff like "I'm over it". Dude you're the only one who cares, stop trying to be so cool and you'll find a girl.

All that jazz....

The toxic levels of navel gazing I'm seeing on certain people's blogs is really quite sad. Honestly people: stop being so self-centred! Get off your pointlessly pontificating arses and do something. Anything!

Anarchy Gotta love it!

I wonder if the author realized just how ridiculous/ironic his title was...

Anti-Semitism apparently never goes out of style...

bad blush

Yuck. Obviously an unflattering photo lol but thats pretty scary.

I dunno much about her (McCain) yet but I'm interested now. Or more specifically, I'm interested in the Mother of all Conservatism cuz it looks cool and I might take a boo at McCain's daughter's blog although really? McCain Blogette? Gag me with a chain saw...

NOOOOOO HOWCE

So 10th new house here I come! :)
I'm actually really excited even though I'm moving even farther away from my school than I live now but I'm graduating this year so that won't be too too bad.
Its gorgeous! I cannot wait to move in! Plus we're going to own this house so I get to paint my room!
Everyone keep suggesting I paint it goth colours, in case you didn't know: I AM NOT A GOTH CHICK. Its nothing against them I just don't happen to be one and I do NOT want a boring depressing, black, room cuz thats BO-RING.

Anywho. Yeah. We're moving to this little hamlet like 4kms away from my city. Its like my city's Alaska lol. There in spirit just not geographically ;)

Anywho, I gotta go study before the bball game, talk to y'all later!

Yay for distress causing ;)

Poor guy

I'm sorry. I just have to smother a giggle everytime I see this cuz its a commonly referenced newspaper in the blogs I read. Can you imagine having the last name Huffington? You'd get the weirdest/best nicknames EVER

Best language ever

Somehow I doubt any other language could fully capture all the wonderful insults buddy serves up... Its just that good. This is what I aspire to.

Thanks Kate. You're warming my heart cockles.

Feedback

The World Around Me and The Truth Project

No, we wouldn't just accept it if it said you had to kill yourself at 65 to go to Heaven. Its faith. We believe that what is written in the Bible is true. Why? because there is solid historical evidence (secular and religious) that backs it and its writers up. Jesus fulfilled hundreds
of prophecies made hundreds of years before He was born. So no, we don't just accept everything that says "Christian" or "God" or "Jesus" on it. There is evidence, it makes sense. And yeah, we do have clearly defined parameters of what is right and what is wrong. Cuz God put those rules in place to protect us and give us the best life possible. Of the things God says is wrong; nothing good comes from them; being jealous: nothing good; swearing: nothing good; stealing: nothing good; sex before marriage: nothing good. You don't believe me? There are
tons of resources and books by people smarter than you and me put together (we're smart people, thats a lot of IQ points :)) who write them not just based on faith, but on actual, undisputed facts.

I doubt you and J were the only ones who recognized the seemingly "close-mindedness" of the program. Other people are just like you; afraid of confrontation and still a little confused. They may have been thinking the same thing and just didn't want to say anything like you. I have struggled with the homosexual and abortion questions too; my parents worked with people who've been raped and had abortions or kept the kid and you get mixed results. Its not my place to judge them or yours. Its all up to God because He knows their heart and their choices.

I'm just trying to show you a different point of view. I've had a lot of those types of questions before too.
Please don't get offended, I'm not attacking you or getting mad and I really like reading your blog and getting to know you.

are you on crack? No. You're not. Yet. I think you might be soon though. I love you, I hate that you've started on this path. And you! You're partially to blame.

You know. I liked you better when you were just apathetic and ignored me. Now you're actively antagonistic and rude. Your mother obviously forgot to teach you common civility when you were a child. Either that or you just weren't listening. As usual.

Its easy to distort these kinds of things but its scary nonetheless.

I semi-agree with him. Not to the extent that his character is in the movie but maybe to this extent...

PS stop being so self-centred. Other people's lives don't revolve around making you happy and keeping your trust

If I paid taxes I would be much more outraged. Since I'm still too young to pay them; I'm not completely outraged. Peeved yes.

NDP Leader Jack Layton said any new funding requests from the CBC should be thoroughly analyzed.

"We certainly can't let the operation collapse. It's a very important operation for Canada and has been for 70 or 80 years now," Mr. Layton said. "For many communities, and across the country in many ways, it's an important service, so we've got to make sure that it's still there, and we'll have to look at any request that comes forward very carefully."

I used to like Jack Layton, he was like a fuzzy, harmless uncle. Why can't we let the operation collapse? Its not like there aren't other news outlets with the same programming. The channels they hold exclusively will be bought up the moment they collapse and then it just speads stuff out. Honestly, a television program going under doesn't even make my list of concerns in all this chaotic global stuff. Its just a box with pretty lights...

pfft like I don't know who it is. I don't even have to read her blog its so painfully obvious.
You seem to think I couldn't read between the lines.
Now I'm gonna try hard not to take sides cuz I've known you longer but she lies a lot less than you do.
Btw, Stop Trying To Protect People. You only end up hurting yourself more. Wanna know how I know? I've watched you to it more times than I can count. I care a lot about you so I don't like seeing you get hurt.
Call me if you need to talk. Obviously its not going to go anywhere and you know I'm not going to hurt you.

Btw the way guys, it feels like my head is going to explode thats how busy I am. Too bad none of you care :p
oh well, thats why I'm the person people vent to rather than the other way around. Jk love you all

Grad pics and grad and conferences and stuffs...

Got my grad pics :D some of 'em are kinda cute too (in my humble, completely unbiased opinion... :P)

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I think I'm gonna go to grad... Cuz I can do the conference next year... But I can't do grad next year. Now I gotta figure out who to bring... Yikes lol. Plus I need to buy a camera, cuz seriously, if I'm passing up the conference this year, grad better be damn well documented :p

So yeeeah. Now I can finish lamenting and pro-conning and other stuffs.. Its decided.
I hate that you were right... ;)

I wanna go out tonight... but I can't lol. Maybe this weekend...

Scary.

Thats terrible... Even my rudimentary knoiwledge of the area/events points directly towards Taliban propaganda. The carcasses of those boys were paraded through the city just to rouse the people into getting angry at the Canadians. That is terrible...

A DISEASE?!?!?! How would you enjoy having your race called a disease??? My guess is you'd raise all hell in court and get someone jailed over aboriginal slurs. Honestly... grow up. As for the prosecution? I think there's a lot of people out these being brutally murdered or wronged who need court time, not some ignorant jerk flinging around racist epithets (not technically the right word but it was just too good an opportunity to pass up...).

Lol guess people are gettin started on their "credit card diets".

Omg already, you are part of this country cuz Britian beat France get over it. Stop making a fuss, the Plains of Abraham was a decisive battle in Canadian history, it should be owned by the government. Its bad enough you had to go and cancel the reenactment cuz the politicians are still sore losers. Just give it a rest...

Oh that is low its smart but its looooooooow.

Holy cow man! He was poisoned?! By a former colleague?! Thats crazy man... that stuff only happens in movies or tv shows or something. (try saying the girlfriend's name 5x fast)

I think there's something in the water.

I need to vent... but I always go to you to vent. And you're... distant. Or at least not interested...
At least I'm controlling myself and not venting to you.

Kamikaze baby!

Lol I'm doing my social term paper on the Kamikaze pilots (akin to modern day suicide bombers) of WWII and the psychology present in Japanese culture that made this such an attractive option for many young, bright Japanese men. Should be funky...

Oh btw! This is my 300th post!!!! Lol I think we should have a party :) Just in honour of my three years of havoc reeking (except its actually wreacking but my way is defs better)

Pfft Harper doesn't have to share he won that spotlight fair and square.

Thats rough man. The Talibs are friggin scary.

AWESOME family day :):):):):)

So it started with baking lol. almost 50 friggin cupcakes for the party we had... man thats a lot of cupcakes. But they tasted good!

Then we went skating back in ma hood :p I used to live down in that area of town so I saw some old friends (holy delayed information batman... yeesh), saw my old house being reno-ed *tear*, and uh yeah... fell on my butt a coupla times ;) I'm the most graceful person i know.

Then Dad and I got milkshakes! From the bestest milkshake place EVER. And drove home listening to old newfie songs put to rock music... *shakes head* it sounds a lot weirder than it is lol.

Aaaaand then I had a whole wack of people over, family friends, church friends, youth friends, random friends lol. It was a lot of fun, my mom (cuz she rocks) cleaned the house and made a ton of food and yeah. it was great. And we played the Game of Life where J ended up with 5 kids (go figure eh?) and M married a man... (M is a man just for those outside the loop :P). And then Apples to Apples. Which was fun, not truly extraordinary but fun lol.

Anywho, my family day rocked! Better than yours did i bet :p haha.

Night all!

emotions overload

this is what is known as a thought dump =p

Holy future opportunities batman. I need to figure out what the heck I'm doing this summer. I want a degree. I want to join the army. I want to get married. I want a life I enjoy living without mondo regrets. I'm so friggin thankful that I didnt let you break my heart. I wish you and me were closer. I wish you didnt resent me. I want to travel. I want to learn more languages. I want somebody to tell me what the heck to do with my life. At least so I'd have something to rebel against or follow. I want to be tough and join the army. I don't want to become one of the those girls who walks around with a chip on her shoulder. I want God to help me with all this. I want to be closer with God. I don't want to be one of those people who just let's their life dictate them rather than them getting what they want and what God wants from it. I want to go to the conference. I want to go to grad. I want to do both. Flip... This is so typical. I'm only thinking about what I want cuz I'm so frggin narcissistic. I really wish I was just pmsing so I could pass this off as a hormone induced freak out. But I don't get PMS... So I can't.

timelines

so i read your thing. the dates match up to your moods lol. and the new years one. thats when you just blocked me off. i was kinda sitting there in the dark and i had no clue why. you're a roller coaster in the dark; no one knows where you're going or whether its gonna be up or down. its frustrating. trust me.

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

reading... which is so out of character for me ;)

So I've been reading Fifteen Days by Christie Blatchford. Its about the soldiers in Afghanistan in 2006. Its crazy man... if I ever had any doubts as to why we're in Afghanistan and what we're fighting: its been completely cleared up. The soldiers have nothing against the regular citizens of Afghanistan, they're there to fight the Taliban. But when they help out the villagers and then the next night they get attacked by the Taliban that the villagers obviously know are there; they get kinda frustrated lol.

Its not a feel good-warm-fuzzies kind of book by any means. Its honest and blunt and real though. You feel like you are there and it gives me a whole new passion for ripping anti-middle-eastern-conflict people a new one when they start not supporting the troops.

So anyways, don`t start a troops arguement with me anytime soon :p

Everything You Want

Somewhere there's speaking
It's already coming in
Oh and it's rising at the back of your mind
You never could get it
Unless you were fed it
Now you're here and you don't know why

But under skinned knees and the skid marks
Past the places where you used to learn
You howl and listen
Listen and wait for the
Echoes of angels who won't return

He's everything you want
He's everything you need
He's everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
He says all the right things
At exactly the right time
But he means nothing to you
And you don't know why

You're waiting for someone
To put you together
You're waiting for someone to push you away
There's always another wound to discover
There's always something more you wish he'd say

But you'll just sit tight
And watch it unwind
It's only what you're asking for
And you'll be just fine
With all of your time
It's only what you're waiting for

Out of the island
Into the highway
Past the places where you might have turned
You never did notice
But you still hide away
The anger of angels who won't return

I am everything you want
I am everything you need
I am everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
I say all the right things
At exactly the right time
But I mean nothing to you and I don't know why
And I don't know why
WhyI don't know

Finally

its all your drama baby

you read my stuff and got pissed. Thats your problem.

You First.

start practicing what you preach

Gee there's a threat

suck it up princess. When you post your life online, you can expect unsolicited advice.

Whoa nelly

Drah-ma! Dude you both need to chillax. You're broken up! Just stop talking to each for for like a month or something, don't talk to each other, don't talk about each other, don't read each other's blogs. Just leave each other alone. You obviously are still really emotionally involved and upset so let each other cool off before you try and be friends again. You need some closure time and you're not gonna get it because everytime you talk to each other, you rip the wound open. Let the wound heal before you irritate that area again. Its just common sense people.

HOMEEEEEE!

So I'm home now :)

We went to universal studios hollywood on our last day and the rides were pretty sweet but honestly, Disneyland was like 10x bigger. Me and my fam don't have tv so Universal was kinda lame cuz it was all about these shows we don't watch and stupid movies we didn't take the time to see. But it was still pretty cool, we rode the Jurassic Park ride :)

House of Mouse and Macy's and Dreams and Fireworks GALORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I'm in Los Angeles right now!!!! Its warm :) much warmer than Canada right now lol.
We've gone to Disneyland which is FLIPPING AWESOME. There's rides and crazy mascot dudes runnin around signing autographs and posing for pics (believe it or not, they're not just at Disneyland :p).
HEY! You know that friggin awesome castle that they show in all the disney movie commercials and stuff? ITS SMALL!!! Dude I know, I was very disappointed. It's like half the size it looks. But there's all these lands, there's tomorrowland and adventureland and frontierland and new orlean's and fantasyland and toontown (where mickey and minnie live :O)

Today we went shopping which was pretty fun, I bought a pair of honest to goodness Apple Bottom Jeans lol, like the ones in that Flo Rida song. They're pretty shmexy. And I hit Abercrombie and Fitch and Forever 21 for earrings and these awesome purple sunglasses. It was an eventful day.

We went there too! Its called the Crystal Cathedral. It was built by Rev. Robert H. Schuller. There's quite an extensive history of it, a good portion of which our tour guide dude named Ed told us and he's like this wecked awesome storyteller (seriously, he should be a narrator for something) so it was all super interesting.

I had a really bad dream the other night. It was right after I got back from LA and I was at this party with T and S and Stef and some other people but I don't remember them. And T was in this other room and S went into that room and came out and said that T had overdosed and died. And then it kinda changed scenes to me talking to my dad about how T died and I was crying and then I woke up actually crying. It was crazy, I don't think I've woken up crying from a dream since I was like 4... It freaked me out cuz I woke up and couldn't figure out if it actually happened or not.

So yeah, we're gonna spend tomorrow at Disneyland again for like 4 or 5 rides that we still really wanna take and there's some souvenir stuffs we want to get too.

Dude, we bought these New Orleans parasols for me and my lil sis and my grandmother and my great-grandmother (gigi). Its cool though cuz my gigi got one like 18 years ago when they came last time but it got damaged so we got her one and its like transcended 4 generations. Well I think its cool :p

So yeah... I miss my friends. I love going to theme park type places (although, where we're from in Canada we have LAME ASS theme parks) with them. I hope I'm able to go to a really good theme park sometime just with a huge group of friends. Its been a ton of fun w/my family though. We've got all our wacky inside jokes and cartoons we watched when I was younger and whatnot so its pretty awesome.

I bought a bikini. Its been YEARS since I wore one of those, and trying them on is nothing short of torture. Any person with reasonably sufficient self-esteem would be a blubbering mess if they managed to find any particularly bad fitting swim suits. But I found a nice blue one that actually looks kinda nice so I'm gonna keep it. Maybe try it out at the leisure centre :p

Well, I'm watching Die Hard (yippie kaiyay mo-fo!) and I wanna go to bed pretty quick.

Slightly less bizarre but still interesting...

Don't doctors take an oath for this type of thing? I mean, yeah she's uncomfortable treating them but as a doctor, you have to treat anybody who needs help. Thats just what you do. I guess it would be easier to prosecute her if it was emergency medicine and she refused to treat the women. But this wasn't even medical, it was a "meet and greet" appointment... thoughts?

In other bizarre news....

Kanye West is obviously not very concerned with the controversy that name may stir. Plus he's a dork.

This is just weird on SO MANY levels. EW

Lol thats awesome. Pretty lame attempt though. If you're gonna assasinate the Queen, you make as well make it flashy and exciting. But honestly, who'd want to assasinate the Queen? She's not particularly powerful, she hasn't royally pissed off (no pun intended) anyone for oh say the past half-century. She's a nice lady. Don't try to kill the Queen peoples, go target some big mean dictator somewhere whom nobody will miss. yeesh...

Ahahahaha, The article itself isn't that awesome. I just like the title :)

Well I apologized. I don't think you care but I did my part. I guess I just wait it out...

GOING TO CALIFORNIA IN 16 HOURS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Zomg I'm so excited lol. *happy dance*

Did I tell you guys how flipping excited I am to be done exams? I probly did but just in case, I AM SO HAPPY TO BE DONE EXAMS!!! No more studying, no more worrying (except about my marks :/)

I'm going to miss you... it sounds lame but I will. While I'm gone and after, cuz I don't think it'll change while I'm gone lol.

So I've been thinking about tattoos again lately lol, and I found this pic
I LOVE this but its completely impractical. Expecially cuz thats a bad place to be getting dye injected lol. But also because I wouldn't be able to see it/enjoy it. So I'm thinking of getting one here
but probly not a butterfly.
I found this one too, completely impractical but very shmexy
isn't it awesome?

Excerpt from "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" by Joshua Harris

God gives us singleness - a season of our lives unmatched in its boundless opportunities for growth, learning, and service - and we view it as a change to get bogged down in finding and keeping boyfriends and girlfriends.

Well I found that a rather unsettling perspective... He's right though.

Dude I swear, I have freaking localized arthritis in my right index finger... this is ridiculous. IT HURTS!

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
I Corinthians 13:6-8

I have always loved that verse. I can't even remember the first time I heard it, but I loved hearing it. It just filled me with content.

I should stop... but I don't want to...

So we have a new most-powerful-man-in-the-world. Funky.

Oh hey guess what! I know what my personality type is :p Extraverted (vs Intraverted), Feeling (vs Thinking), Percieving (vs Judging) and Intuitive (vs Sensing)
Lol its okay, I didn't understand the meanings/differences between them either but its hard to explain. I feel smarter now though :p

Lol I've been going out almost every night for the past two weeks, I feel like quite the social butterfly ;)

Potentially problematic but still kinda funny. I'd totally compare the NDP to communists in Cuba but not if I was in public office cuz thats stoooooooopid.

I'm honestly too freaking ADD right now to even think about this. But it looks good...

more virgins recieve the bad news

I almost died laughing when I read that.

Woot, went to diploma prep and bowling tonight. It was fun, lots of jerks there though, one from our group, another one just worked there. Whatevs, people will be stupid, its like a right lol.

I read something like that in my biology class where this guy was mining and there was an explosion and a piston blew clear through his head but he was up and talking and stuff right afterwards. Had some serious brain damage after though lol...

Are you guys seriously mentally deficient or something?!?! I DO NOT LIKE HIM
(ugh I hate how "high school" that sounded but people are so flipping immature...)

Anywho, I'm seriously considering not going to my grad banquet and instead going to YC and chilling with my friends that weekend because honestly, I have no desire to go to the banquet at all. I just don't. I'll walk the stage and all that but the social stuff I'm just not that into... I'm worried that I'll regret it though. I'm not sure anymore.

YESYESYESYESYESYESYES

Whoops sorry... channelling cult like tendencies... I'm freakin myself out!!!

So yeah... good movie. Vaguely disturbing *shudders* for reasons I can't even name without gagging. It was a lot of fun though, we totally annoyed everyone in the theatre cuz J and I were laughing so hard at the WAY wrong moments and M and I have decided to dress up for HP and the Half-Blood Prince!!!! WOOT. Its exciting...

Hey I'm sorry you couldn't come, aww shucks man I love you too! *gets choked up* lol couldn't resist ;p Maybe you'll make it next time.

And I've learned NEVER to go to a Denny's again... though if I'm forced to I will. I just won't order a milkshake... Omg I need new friends, these ones freak me out.

Well its late and I need sleep. Talk to y'all later!

Zhen

Movie again!

Okay so we are gonna try going to Yes Man again tonight, maybe this time we'll actually make it to the movie! That'd be fun...
Oh! And there's also girls coming! I know right, I was surprised too :p

Anywho, I'll tell y'all how the movie is lol

Doppelgangers and troglodytes and petulance and duckpins and petting

I hate it when you do that...

You make me feel like an idiot for saying what I think... I don't think you realize you do it though. Thats the worst part.

I gotta lay off of you for a little while... I need to figure out where I am.

And I take it all back. Everything I said.

You Weren't Told To

You just chose to listen :p

And I appreciate that.

What was supposed to be a movie...

turned out to be rather different lol

So originally me +4 guy friends (I know sad isn't it? I do have girl friends I promise!) were going to see a movie then I totally changed the theatre cuz Dad didn't want to drive to the far one so they all bend over backwards to accommodate me and then it turns out we can't even see the same movie cuz it started earlier. LAME.

So we went to play pool instead lol and I embarrassed myself cuz I suck at pool lol and then we chilled at BPs for awhile :) which is always fun.
WOOT I got to see my friends at the restaurant too! The one I used to work at, and my fav coworker was there so I got like 3 hugs from him which was nice.
Then T drives me home and just as we pull into the driveway I realise I left my purse at the restaurant... *shakes head* I'm such an idiot. So T drives me back there to grab it because he's aweomse <3 and then I get home like 20 minutes before curfew *score!*

So yeah... that was my rather tame evening... bet it was more fun that yours!

love

California, youth events, exams, grad pics and the middle east

I'm going to California in 3 weeks! WOOT, I'm so excited! I'll be able to refresh my tan ;) and shop and go shopping and chill w/my family.

Youth last night was fun, I didn't even get home until 12:30 lol and we
watched Knocked Up (which was probly not the best youth group movie option) and ate food and fell asleep on the couch. It was good times.

YUCK, I've got exams coming up. I really don't wanna take them either :( I've got a lot riding on these so there's a good chance I may not be posting much in the foreseeable future.

I wanna order my grad pics soon! They make me happy... Its a little weird tho. I've only ever seen my mom and my aunt's grad pics and now I have my own... I'm way too young for this lol...

Okay so Israel and Palestine are bombing each other over Gaza again... this is lame. Haven't they figured it out yet? Israel doesn't die. Its weird and its unfortunate, but its the truth. Tried and tested.

ZOMG I HAVE GRAD PROOFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And they're actually kinda pretty... *blushes*

*2nd update* and other random stuffs

Como dias wife's pastor?
So T wanted to say "how is your day?" and he came up with como dias which actually means "how days" and later that day a lady got on our bus and when we asked who she was A said she was the "wife's pastor". So "Como dias wife's pastor" became somewhat of an inside joke lol

Dude! Our bathrooms FILL with ants and other freaky insects at night so its like 1 am and I'm going to the bathroom and I go into the first one and get totally freaked out by all the ants and go into the second one and there's even more ants and one of them friggin BITES ME!!! So apparently the sound I let out cuz it bloody hurt sounded like a scream so Ray and mom come running and I'm like "chill out guys its just an ant bite" so I had to get a band-aid on my toe and mom's all "there's poisonous ants here so if it hurts or swells up you have to tell me!" and meanwhile I just don't use those bathrooms anymore at night lol... I still have the scab from the bite, its rather epic

So mine and daddy's fav movie right now is The Breakfast Club cuz its flipping hilarious and our fav line so far from it is "my home life is unsatisfying". It doesn't sound very funny but you just have to hear it said. Its definitely a classic movie...

I am workin the tan, everybody says I have a "summer glow" (Talia's words not mine lol) and
I gave G his key chain and he's actually using it now so that makes me happy :) and yeah. Its good times.

I have to go study for my french final now :( wish me luck!

*update* (or rather stuff i forgot to put in the first post)

So on like our 2nd last night there 15 of us went to play soccer with some people from the church in this weird synthetic field thingy. It was SOOO much fun! Cept my team kept winning so I played for all of like 2 really short games and that was for two hours straight. I was actually dripping sweat it was disgusting :p
But Antony came and that was cool and he gave me chocolate :D which is always nice.

And Claudia (one of the cooks) gave me her cross so I would remember her when I came back to Canada.

And I gave Pablo my funky aviator sunglasses because he really liked them and I figured he'd get more use out of them there than I would here in freaking ICE CITY. So I gave them to him the morning we left and we all said our goodbyes at the airport and then once we get in Jony is wandering around asking who's sunglasses they are. And I'm like "darn it Pablo!" so I grab 'em and Jony and I book it outside where everyone is in the bus and Pablo is the last one getting on so I holler at him and give him the glasses and he's all "thanks girl!" and he was so surprised cuz I don't think he knew they were gone. And he gave me another hug and Jony and I booked it back inside to the line up lol cuz it would suck if we had to go thru friggin US customs alone.

I bought souvenirs! Presents for my friends cuz I love them and a bracelet and two pairs of earrings and a little carved frog that I named Diego the 4th. Why the 4th you ask? Well Diego our driver has a son named Diego jr and Diego the 1st made Daisy a balloon camel that we named Diego the 3rd so my frog is Diego the 4th lol.

I went horseback riding while we were there! Big Maestro (the pastor is Little Maestro :p) brought two of his horses and his son (who is like 10) to our camp! A couple of us took turns riding the horses and I actually got mine to gallop a few times! It was SOOOO cool.
Big and Little Maestro both brought their wives and kids (little Maestro brought Antony) to play soccer with us and let me tell you, those 6 and 7 year olds were fast little buggers. I did manage to score a goal but it was painful and I was trying not to trip over them lol. Course they've grown up playing since like ever so they've had a bit more practice than me.

Home. Tired. Happy.

2nd plane home was delayed :( by like 2 hours so we just chilled in the airport, watching A and T try and play hacky sack while completely strung out on cold medicine.

I am so glad I went, it was such an amazing trip and I would go again without any hesitation. I learned so much and got to meet so many new people and saw so many awesome new things.
I got to know everyone on my team so much better, figured out how to make the tour bus comfy lol, and ate lots of gallo pinto (rice and beans).

So first day there we were all kinda out of it because we landed at 8 or 9 and then took an hour long bus from San Jose to Sarchi which is where we stayed in this camp called Campamento Jennie Sue (it was named after a nice old lady who founded it). We all promptly passed out on the bunks because we were really tired from the day of flying and spending a 6 hour layover in Dallas lol.
The next morning we had breakfast and met our cooks; Rosita, Guillermo and Claudia, our bus driver Diego, our translators Bernardo, Pablo, Daniella and Salomon and our team leader John. We went to Naranjo which is where our host church is and 8 of us worked on started construction on expanding the church building while the rest of the team did children's ministry inside. Lol my gloves got so soaked with gasoline from cleaning the steel beams that i got a chemical burn on my hands, it was awesome.
So for the first two days we did construction and children's ministry in Naranjo which was pretty awesome cuz the kids were great and we were learning the names of different animals in spanish so we could make them balloon animals lol.
The times and days get kind of fuzzy after this because we went to so many different places and there was not a set-in-stone schedule because our itinerary changed constantly. We went to quite a few different churches and did children's ministry which for me meant doing kid's worship (lots of actions and repitition lol) with Alfe to start off and then alternating between balloon tying and bracelet making. I met so many amazing children down there, they are just so happy and full of life despite their unimaginably poor circumstances. You can't possibly understand how these people live until you've seen it. We were mostly in fairly poor areas and all the homes/businesses are built with the cheapest, thinnest materials and look so fragile. Costa Rica isn't subject to very hostile weather though so its not as bad but everything is just so temporary.
The perspective of these people is so amazing, we gave them soccer balls and bracelets and simple toys and balloon animals but they were so grateful and they loved them. We were actually making a big difference in their lives and giving them hope even though it seemed so simple to us.
We worked with another church youth group in Naranjo to restore a park so we cleaned up all the garbage and glass and repainted the fence and whatnot then in the afternoon we invited some neighbourhood kids to come play at the park with us so we sang songs and played games and I played catch with this guy names Marco for about an hour :p it was a lot of fun.
On our day off we also went to the Cataratas and Volcano Irazu (or so I believe, I can't remember the name) and the Cataratas or waterfalls, are also a nature preserve. I got to hold butterflies and A nearly got his ear bit off by a toucan and Diego's son, Diego jr lol got to see the monkeys and poisonous snakes and frogs. It was really amazing.
As a present to us, the translators bought fireworks that we set off on New Years in the field by the camp after we went to the New Year's party at the church in Naranjo. That was SO much fun! We got there at 7:30 and the celebration went til after midnight. Alfe and Jony and Bernardo and Adam and Pablo and I all did worship for what seemed like hours lol and we did our skit that closely resembles this one. And Marco and Antony saw it and afterwards we saw a ton of fireworks in the town square! It was so cool.

HOLY CRAP ITS COLD HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna go back as soon as I can :(

So Antony gave me a mix tape and I love it! Its got these 3 spanish songs on it and they're so pretty to listen to... I miss him lol.

One of the nights (I can't remember which) Ray and I stayed up until about 3:15 just talking about stuff. It was really cool though because it was stuff that we had wanted to talk about for a long time but had kind of just ignored. It was a cool kind of "bonding" thing lol.

I got to spend more time with a friend of mine which was fun lol, we figured out how to make the bus comfy. But he's got other stuff going on, things will go back to normal.

I hope things don't go back to normal for me though, I really want to stay this close to God. I want to pray like I did on this trip, I want to sow the seeds of God and do great things for His kingdom.

I'm thinking of going back there for my gap year if possible... not sure yet tho. I'll figure it out...

Anywho, I'm home now, its friggin cold in Canada, and I have a TAN!!!! WOOO HOOO!!!

deliberate stupidity

It comes naturally ;)

Its about 2 hours before I'm supposed to be bright eyed and bushy tailed to go to the airport and I'm sitting at home watching Sixteen Candles and we just finished The Breakfast Club.
I mean, don't get me wrong they're good movies but I should be sleeping lol...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz whoops! fell asleep on the z key ;)

night everyone. well, its morning for me lol. but have a fabulous New Years!!! Talk to y'all later!

quick note

So I know both of you, not that well but I can list vital stats and random facts/quotes.

but listening to what you're saying, It reminds me of me!
I was there! haha, a little while ago those were my emotions and worries.
Unfortunately they never really went away lol. I still feel them from time to time but in essence I've moved on because I realized it would take awhile for us to work together so its easier to go our separate ways and if we're meant to be together, God will bring us back together.

but i know how it feels to think you're not good enough to be the only girl. you get mad and make your mind up not to let him in anymore because it hurts too much. And then he shows up, he cares and he wants to be with you and talk to you and you forget about everything else... its a vicious circle lol.
Don't get me wrong! He is a great guy, we have our arguments and I call him names and he calls me impossible and we pretty much hate each other for awhile but he's still one of my favourite people to talk to and he knows how to be a gentleman sometimes. But I have no advice for either of you. Why? Because I never got my fairy tale ending. we never did make it work. Maybe it'll happen someday but there's always been someone else in the way for one of us when the other is ready.
Man, I wish he talked about me the way he talks about you though. He writes these long drawn out descriptions and he loves talking about you. Usually when he talks about me, he says he prefers me to the really annoying girls out there because he trusts me and he knows I'm annoying but I still love him. but you? He talks about you like you're the only girl he's ever thought about. I can hear the emotion and feeling behind it. and I'm not gonna lie, it makes me jealous. But I know my time will come with him or with someone else who is the one.
So trust me, if he isn't the one, there's someone out there who is, and you will be the only girl for him and he will love you until doomsday. He is not the only boy out there, there's lots lol. He's addicting (I know :P) and hard to get over, but if he's not the one, you'll be able to move on eventually.

Zhen

p.s. the funny part is i don't think either girl will read this. but thats okay. I just figured life's too short not to say what you mean.

expressions of gratitude

well through all the drama going on around me I have realized that I was missing gratitude. People were just getting pissed off and forgetting all the wonderful memories and tough times that they weathered together. So I've decided to compile this list of people I'm thanking, for their love, support and awesomeness. Woot, lets get started (this could be extensive):

-the parents lol, you guys love me and inspire me and put up with me despite the fact that I am quite an annoying child.

-the sister, i love you, I antagonize you, I would kill you sometimes, but I'd kill for you all the time.

-Ynagem, frigging love you! and miss you! you are the most wonderful friend ever, we wasted waaaay too much time on transit looking for the train lady and making up parallel universes. I love you!

-Jess, you are my sunshine :) you make me happy all the time and don't you dare go away again!

-youth group, you guys are a rock. Always there, always care, always fun, always a blast. <3

-church, inspiring, loving, affectionate, entertaining, thought provoking, interesting, weird, accurate, God-centred, wonderful place to be.

-father of wisdom, been awhile since you used that eh? thank you for always giving me another chance even when you REALLY don't want to. You help me put things into perspective and you've been close for a long time.

-work people, you guys are wacked lol. I've learned lots from you guys, most of it I didn't want to know in the first place ;) but work was my haven where I could get away from everything and devote all my attention to something else.

-other bloggers, you inspire me, make me smarter, challenge me to stay more informed, tell me things I never would've found out on my own, bring to light things that don't always get brought to light, entertain me, fill me with new ideas, words, quotes and ridiculous anecdotes.

-greg, you're so much fun to talk to and you always know what to say to help me put stuff in the big picture

-jade, I love you babe. we've known each other longer than we haven't known each other (if that makes sense lol) you know how to make me feel better and make me laugh

-relatives, you love me just for existing (how often do you find that?) and you've always got my back no matter who is wrong lol.

so yeah... thats all I could think of for the moment... *whistles and looks at a loss for words* there you have it I guess.
If you feel I have overlooked you leave a comment! lol I will attempt to rectify the gaffe.

Zhen

the way I loved you

I miss screamin and fightin
and kissin in the rain
its 2am and I'm cursin your name

holy emotional involvement batman!

Well I knew I was missing pieces but this is looking like the whole damn puzzle LOL
sure sad I missed all those dramatic moments (not).
I don't envy you or any of the other people you were talking about I really don't, you got WAY too much going on in that arena.
Lemme just say that I'm glad I threw my hat into the ring and then took it out what? Like almost 3 years ago? Now its in limbo lol
Anywho, good luck with all of them. I'll just be watching from the sidelines. If you ever get so frustrated you need to scream; call me. You usually feel better when you can just yell and you know someone is listening but not judging.
well I need sleep cuz it took awhile to find that and I'm tired now lol
ttyl
Zhen

P.S. My stuff is cleared up, I explained it all. So you should take it off so the others don't have as much to worry about lol

Its the most wonderful time of the year...

Minus crowded malls full of men and women with very scary glints in their eyes as they scramble to finish last minute shopping.
Minus insane traffic mostly comprised of idiots who drive as if they've never seen snow before.
Minus 35 below degree weather that makes me think its impossible for there to be any place in the world right now that you can actually go outside without a snow suit on and not have all your extremities immediately fall off.

As hardened and bitter as I sound I really do sincerely love Christmas. Not the materialistic side of it (cuz thats lame) but I love chillin (literally) with my family and friends, singing Christmas carols with worship leaders who hate them (haha love you Darren), eating (way too much) Christmas food/cookies, talking a walk outside when its snowing and quiet and feeling the magic and going to bed seeing the apcalyptically-red looking sky (from lights reflecting off the snow) and knowing that God is watching over all of us.

I finished my Christmas shopping today (finally *slumps with relief) and also did some shopping for Costa Rica clothing (light, not warmth inducing, not fancy) that I can do labour and get dirty in. And drank two $4 coffees which is really weird for me cuz I don't drink coffee normally lol. But it was fun, I'm actually getting REALLY excited for Costa Rica. I've been waiting for so long (nearly 2 years) for it to happen and now it really is coming together!
I'm so excited to build a community centre (though I don't imagine any of the men/teenage boys are actually going to let me do anything labour intensive lol) and doing children's ministry and really showing people the love of Christ. This is going to a be paradigm/life changing experience :) I'm pleased.

We're going to do a drama like this in Costa Rica.
I usually play the main girl and let me tell you, most people cry when they see it. I'm not even kidding, I don't cry easily so i don't, but a lot of people do because the emotion is so raw. I am so thrilled to see what God is going to do on this trip.

Pray for me and the team and the people we're going to help!!!

Merry Christmas!

WOOT DANCE SHOW WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was fabulous, everybody else was fabulous, the audience was fabulous. EVERYTHING WAS FABULOUS!

I'm happy its over because now I can focus on other stuff lol.
But I'm also sad its over because I don't get to perform again for another little while. :(

OMG I love Canada but people drive like the apocalypse is forthcoming when it snows... for the love of all that is holy people...
It took my dad and I AN HOUR to drive a route that usually takes us 15 minutes.
Then I had to wait another 30 min to get a bus and I got to school an hour late... blech

But OH WELL, s'all good.

We're watching the vid of the dance show tomorrow :( I hope I didn't bomb too bad.

Thanks for being there, and not regretting anything. I appreciate it. And putting up with my crazy texts lol. <3

I gotta get some sleep... NO FRENCH TOMORROW!!!! I GET TO SLEEP IN!!!! *happy dance*

hahaha talk to y'all later!

CRAZINESS!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes! I've had such a busy weekend! And this is going to be a super busy week! And the busyness isn't going to go away until after exams! *runs around like a chicken with its head cut off*

Phew okay. Insanity moment done lol

SO this weekend was fun, we got a freaking BLIZZARD! Love Canada... But anywho, i went babysitting which was fun! 5 kids and me lol, but I enjoyed myself and was paid really well too :D
Then I went to the youth sleepover which was awesome! Me + 3 fell asleep in the hallway with a couple sleeping bags (we had to share cuz there wasn't enough lol) while watching Never Back Down. Unfortunately the laptop battery ran out so we only watched the first half lol.
Plus we only got about 45 minutes of sleep... that was awesome :)
Then I went babysitting again on Saturday (fun!) and they have the most adorable baby ever. Seriously this kid is so friendly! She's very physically affectionate, always wanted to be held to to be touching me or her brothers. It was interesting.

And a Costa Rica meeting today, I'M GETTING SO EXCITED!!!

plague, pestilence and locusts

I am so sick right now its embarrassing, I think I'm leaking cerebrospinal fluid right now thats how runny my nose is its ridiculous.

I watched Wanted, such a good movie! Gory and way too much profanity but cool concept and very pretty guns.

So yeah, this is a totally stellar time to miss school because exams are coming up at the end of the break, I'm missing important lessons, I have the Christmas concert tomorrow for school, the dance show is next week, I have done almost no Christmas shopping and Costa Rica is coming soon lol.
Oh well, I can handle it *smile* I'm awesome!!!

Iggy's the Liberal leader now... Well thats cool, at least he speaks English. Thats a step up from Dion. Although I was rather enjoying the ineffectual Liberal leadership, gave me something to giggle at when I read the news.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!

I stabbed my finger with a serrated kitchen knife an hour ago and when I open the cut a little I can see squishy pink stuff!!!!!!
Its soooooooooooo cool!

bye bye my pretty restaurant :(

So I had to take a "leave of absence" from my job because my grades aren't good enough right now :'(
It made me sad.
But I will go back in February if they'll still have me.

Darn it still trying to figure out what I want for the future!!! I want to do international studies, but I also want to act, and I am freaking loving biology right now so I could do nursing or doctoring or something like that... Its difficult. On top of scholarship stuffs and costa rica and christmas (still haven't done any shopping) and grad committee and choir and trying not to go insane!!!!

Man I'll be glad when I'm done school and I can just chill out and work for a year :D

Not to mention for those of you who've been living under a sound-proof rock for the past week. THE COMMUNISTS AND THE SEPARATISTS ARE TRYING TO OVERTHROW THE FASCISTS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I did not see that one coming. Then again my foresight blows, think it was the head injury a few years back ;)
So yeah, makes for interesting conversations with my social teacher lol.

Rubber Chickens and Sledge Hammers and Grad Pics!

Okay so has anyone here had a cavity filled lately? Well if you haven't I'll just fill you in, first they inject the anaesthetic which believe me hurts like hell. Then they put this weird rubber thing over your mouth. You know on doctor shows when they show surgeries and there's a blue cloth covering everything but where the doctors are working? Yeah. I had a smaller purple version of that put over the lower half of my face. By then of course I feel like my cheek is a rubber chicken and its a pretty odd sensation trust me. Then they use this little whirring instrument that sounds like R2D2 to "clean the area" and then another one that sounds like a jack hammer to "prepare the area". Then they put a whole but of weird pasty things on it and shined a blue light on them every once in awhile mostly cuz it looks cool I'm guessing.
So yeah once they finished I couldn't move my mouth or speak without sounding and looking like a drooling idiot. It was very attractive I assure you.

My friend gets paid to wield a sledge hammer. I'm so friggin jealous.

WOOOOOOOOOOT Grad photos soon!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Gotta get my hair cut... :(

Its getting a little twilife zoney

Somali pirates are taking over the freaking world!
<3 it... I wish I was cool enough to be a Somali pirate... seriously, imagine putting that on your resume. Right along with "mad ninja skills" or "can do fifteen back flips in one go"... I'd make a great circus resume fabricator...

Have you ever wondered if you are the very first person to have a particular conversation or say something? Cuz you say it and then wonder "could anyone else on the planet even have a mind that twisted? could I have been the very first person ever to say that?" Its rather depressing how often that thought enters my mind actually. Probly just cuz I'm narcissistic like that but hey, I can spell narcissistic without spell check so there's gotta be something worth being obsessed with.

So I'm taking biology 30 right now and no word of a lie, Biology 30 is just a 5 month long sex-ed class. Thats it. Thats all. Thats all all is.
I mean don't get me wrong, its interesting stuff but honestly, there's nothing left to learn about rocks or plants or anything anymore? Thats it? We just gotta study how to make babies? Yeah... its good times.

I know this is definitely not the funniest post I've done in awhile but I'm tired and my mouth hurts but HEY! I GOT FANGS OUT OF THE DEAL!!! WOOT!!!
Yeah... they're these funky little orthodontic instruments sent directly from a special circle of hell to torture poor, innocent people who had the misfortune of having crooked teeth. Basically they're these little elastics that stretch between a loop on one of the brackets on a two top teeth and two brackets on lower teeth. The cool part is; they're placed right where my incisors would be if I was a canine and not a homo sapien so when I smile I look like a vampire. Pretty handy for the creeps who stare at me on transit no?
Course then somebody takes a picture of me doing that and suddenly I'm all over those tabloids that say Elvis is the reincarnation of Jesus and why the hell hasn't the earth ended yet cuz we've been forecasting it for YEARS!?! ... yeah. Its cool to be me.

unhand him you scabrous dogs!

Kay, I seriously cannot be the only one who sees the silliness/hilarity of this picture... I just can't. We have Dion, newly re-elected Speaker; Milliken and Harper.
I'm not entirely sure why they're practically carrying Milliken to wherever it is they're carrying him. I mean, 62 is old but he's hardly death bed ridden...

It reminds me of those fights I used to have with my sister:
-but its MY favourite toy!
-no, its always been MY favourite toy!!!
-I liked it before you did!
-Mom!

...yeah... I love politics.

epic fail

Man, I am dense... Really dense.
I mean, I'm cute and pretty smart but I'm dense.
I forgot to not get attached, it didn't work the first... second... third... or fourth times lol. It really isn't going to work this time. I suck at listening to my own advice... Or anybody else's for that matter.

Woot work was awesome last night, I loved it! I made tips and W loves me (even though I'm weird I still keep her entertained) and K and I danced and A and the manager kept trying to undo the bow on my dress... losers.
But all in all it was a really good night, I liked it.
Plus tonight I'll see everyone again :D

Youth sleepover coming up! Yay! I don't think it will end up the same last years did... Its just a hunch. But D and R and I will find a corner to set up in, play twister and spongebob monopoly and watch movies. It'll be great >_<

So i've been looking a lot at scholarships lately and its scary stuff. I am so not ready lol...

computer guru

Man I think I should start a television series focused on my laptop. Its really taught me a lot about life, patience being one of the virtues explored especially when I want to turn the thing off.

First it has to rid itself of all bad things and usher in the new so it makes sure I've updated all my applications and if I don't feel like doing it; it just does it for me.
Then it has to recount the hectic day of surfing/homework/banking/emailing/music&tv show playing. All that activity really takes its toll on a hard drive eh? So she needs to make sure that everything has been saved and given proper consideration. She needs a little massage about this point to relax.
Then of course she needs to get herself into a zen-like trance state where she can completely erase all other thoughts and just power down without any lingering bad thoughts or difficulties. This is a very time sensitive procedure because if she is closed before completing the sleep ritual, she can't sleep all night and is left stressed and uncooperative in the morning and nobody likes a cranky laptop right?

Yes, I really have learned from my laptop the importance of a complete power down and relaxation time before achieving a really decent night's rest...

We Remember

I love Remembrance Day, the ceremony is so beautiful and respectful and somber. I know its terrible that we have such a thing that needs to be remembered but I love that it is shown such reverence by most people. There's bagpipes and beautiful poems and songs and pomp and circumstance. Yes, I am actually one of those weird people who loves traditions and proper respect paid to certain things and certain people and for things having their place. I know its rare to hear something like that from someone my age but its true.

The dude running the ceremony we saw today read the excerpt from For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
I remember singing a song based on that during the Remembrance Day Assembly at school last year, Chris and I both soloed and I remember feeling so proud that I could at least play a part in something so important as remembering the people who died so that others may live in freedom. People who fail to recognize the importance of that sacrifice are the ones who will make it happen again. As soon as we forget why we have a military and why people lay down their lives everyday to save ours, it will happen again.
The reason Canadians and Americans have the freedom of speech to denounce the military, disrespect the veterans, hold anti-war demonstrations and burn their nation's flag: is because brave men and women died to protect it. That is the most important thing.

dance=love/hate relationship

Okay so I feel good because I just got a whole shwack of choreography done, unfortunately I'm also now in a lot of pain and very sweaty and gross lol. Plus the song that I used to like no longer appeals to me because I had to listen to it 138 times in order to get the choreography down... Yeah. Its a good song though
Untouched by The Veronicas

And also some choreography for my lyrical duet to this
Run by Collective Soul
also a good song that I will eventually hate because I'll have to do it so many freaking times.

But yeah, I think I worked off the equivalent of 4 burgers and 2 sundaes with all the dancing I did today lol.

And mom and Nana are coming home today from Kelowna where they had a little break and chilled out. Did some shopping.

Blog Rrrrrroooooolll

So I've decided to list some of the blogs I read regularly. Not really for anyone's benefit but my own mostly because I'm bored lol.

Okey dokey, here goes:
Rantings of a Sandmonkey
funniest thing ever, crazy Egyptian dude who blogs about Middle Eastern/American politics and foreign affairs and other random stuff that he finds funny. Not at all your average middle eastern dude and actually eschews traditional weird stuffs that make no sense at all to the rest of us.
"Be forewarned: The writer of this blog is an extremely cynical, snarky, pro-US, secular, libertarian, disgruntled sandmonkey. If this is your cup of tea, please enjoy your stay here. If not, please sod off."

Post Secret
You've probably heard about this "movement" as of late. Frank Warren is an artist who, a few years ago asked people to write a secret that they couldn't tell anyone else on a postcard with no indication as to who they are and send it to him so he could put them into a book. This idea increased so much in popularity that he has since put out several books just full of postcards with secrets on them. Some of them are poignant, some are seemingly trivial and others serve to make people smile and they all take a burden off of the secret keeper's shoulder. Every week there are a new batch of postcards that have been posted on the blog and some have comments that people wrote about them.

The Bloggess
This is an amazingly funny lady who also writes a blog with another mom for the Houston Chronicle called Good Mom Bad Mom. My aunt actually turned me onto this blog because other than being hysterically funny, she said the writing style reminded her of me. And while I can't claim to be even half as witty or entertaining to read as The Bloggess, the tangents do sound a lot like me and if you've ever met and talked to me, you'll understand lol.

Small Dead Animals
This is probably the most informative blog I read, nothing gets past Kate. This is a widely read and respected blog talking about national issues and politics with a conservative bent (something difficult to find amidst all the Obamanians and Greenpeace wannabes). Sometimes its difficult to get through but perseverance is rewarded with information, funny quotes and a more rounded world view.

The Life of a Child
I read this because its written by a friend of mine, sometimes its weird and sometimes it doesn't make sense lol but its entertaining and he offers a lot of perspective.

Fly On
I started reading this blog after I read the books by James Patterson. This blog is either ghost written or done by Patterson himself but its from the perspective of one of the tech savvy characters in the book series. I like it because in addition to feeding my "flock" addiction, he also posts some alternative punky stuff like music or articles that I wouldn't have otherwise found. Its fun stuff.

Damn Cool Pics
I actually found this site a couple years ago and its been kept up which is pretty cool. Its basically just a whole bunch of pics and videos from this guy (or group of people) online. There isn't really a goal message or viewpoint to get across, he just finds a theme and posts a bunch of really cool pictures that he finds online in each post. Some are kinda weird like extreme body art or celebrities without makeup but some are really amazing like the village in this monstrous cave or beatiful castles in Scotland.

Well that kinda concludes my blog roll... I don't have a lot of surfing time cuz grade 12 is a little homework intensive so I don't have time but its fun and enjoy reading what other people have to say.

Le weekend tres awesome!

So this weekend has turned out much better than I thought it would.

Friday I got pretty much no homework, went to youth (meh, potato potahto) and then slept lol.

Saturday I bought the most fabulous winter coat ever invented and went to work. Work was the most ridiculous shift I've ever worked cuz everyone was tired and punchy and we had way too much fun. And I found out I didn't have to work Sunday night.

Sunday I went to church and made plans with J and A to come over. Went home, cleaned house, went to Grandparents for thanksgiving dinner (which was A-mazing, and extraordinarily filling lol). Then J and A came over to watch Step Up 2 (3 thumbs up and plenty of new choreography to try out ;) and J and I gave A his birthday presents. Both clothes unfortunately, we really need to be more creative next year... *gasps* A is going to be 20 next year... damn he's old...

Then J and I proceeded to watch 2 more movies, halfway thru the second one I conked lol. I suck at staying up late. it was fun though, I had a really good weekend.

Plus, somewhere in that whole mix a friend and I started talking again (we haven't really talked for like a month). Which is actually kind of cool.

ANYWHO, Now I have to go work on my novel study because quite frankly I think I'm going to shoot myself if it doesn't get done soon...

Lurv y'all,
oh hey I got a shiny pic to share:

haha its great eh?
