And all that live and fight for her. I am proud to be a Canadian, not just when stories like these roll in either, I love my country and I would join the army and go to war for her. My parents wouldn't like that (at all) but I would do it if need be, or if that's where God is calling me to go. Well, I need sleep but I'll talk to y'all later

You parents would not dislike you choosing a military career. We just wouldn't choose it for you at seventeen as we both did - for reasons other than war and danger. If it is where God calls you to be, you will know and we will support you 100%. Because we are patriots too and will always be Canadian soldiers like the guy in the article.
