Good movie. For some reason, after we (mom, dad & me) finished it a discussion ensued about the good old days. Dad said any guy who came to school wearing eye liner when he went to school would promptly be given a good thumping and he would never do it again. I said to him, nowadays you thump a guy for wearing eye liner you got 45 human rights groups pounding your door down. He smiled, "Yeah and Greenpeace trying to save the gay whales." We got a pretty good laugh out of that one.

I wish Harper had maintained that view point. I like that a lot better than their current plan to meet Kyoto's agreement. If you ask me (which no one really did...) Kyoto is a useless piece of UN crap. A big money maker for the little broke environmentally friendly countries, and something to pacify the global warming wack jobs. Oh well, I still like Harper and if an election comes up; he should win.

A "mean-spirited, vengeful administration" huh? Just imagine how charitable I'm feeling towards her right now... That administration is the one that is slowly piecing innocent people's lives back together that were shredded by totalitarian dictators and terrorist groups. What are you doing? Shaking hands with a bunch of pacifists who are sitting on their butts while troops are out there actually doing something. When you've fought a war and seen what those people have, then you can complain about them. I admit, I haven't fought those wars or seen what those people have been through, but I respect them and what they are doing.

Attack ads

Now this is what bugs me about all politics, the attacks. You can interpret that as being hypocritical because I attack people all the time, but what I mean is when one party starts attacking the other ones for no particularly good reason... other than the fact that they can. Especially with T.V. ads or radio ads or however else they do it. If you are really a good enough party to win, and you believe that, why do you need to waste time belittling your opponent? Why try and make them smaller when it isn't really making you any bigger?

I talked a bit with my dad about this last night and he said something that's stuck with me, "You can always count on your friends to hit where it hurts the most." Which sadly is true, your friends supposedly know more about you than anyone else, they know where the buttons are and they know exactly how to press them... Sometimes they don't even realize it, if you're good enough at hiding it, they have no clue, they think it was just another round in the game. Doesn't make it hurt any less.

I like that store... Ho-aly! How the heck does one do that? Well if we knew there'd be a lot more credit card fraud I suppose... 20-40 million people worldwide!?!?!? That's not a melt down, that's a complete and total incineration of the entire system! It's not like a couple of dopey security guards, they would have like Norton Anti-virus times 10, firewalls, the works. Yet a sneaky little cyber wacko grabbed the credit info... weird.

This guy doesn't seem to like anybody, he bashed the Conservatives more than the Liberals but I think that's because the article was specifically about Harper's performance levels. Some things he has a point on, other things are just redundant. I don't know too much about whether the Conservatives followed through with their campaign promises because I wasn't altogether that interested at the time, most of my political interest has developed over the past year. Anyways, I know they've done a good job, heck of a better job than Chrétien or Martin ever did. I'm biased but honestly... Harper didn't do everything the way I would've but then again, he's running the country, not me. Well I've got a few things to do, more in a bit.

I read one of the many articles on the Pickton trial. They haven't proven it was him yet so I'm just gonna say that whoever did it is sick, I skimmed the more graphic descriptions of what those investigators found on his farm they were so nasty. Do not read that article of you are even a little squeamish, you will loose any appetite you may ever have. Seriously, grisly and hog nastified sum it up quite nicely. Anyways, I am still free!!! I have no one to talk to about my freedom but I'll get over it. I've been dnlding all morning onto my phone, I'll have to throw on some of the new songs I've found... Weird feelings...

Just in general. I got up at 6:15 this morning to go help man a "hospitality table" at some swim meet until noon, went to my grandparent's place where I slept for 4 hours and came home. Not a super exciting day but I kind of feel unhappy. I know you guys are all sick of hearing about my unhappiness but no one's forcing you read my blog so suck it up or get lost (BTW I'm feeling kind today :p). Wondering about stuff, what happened to my friendship with someone, wondering what I'm going to do with the rest of my life, wondering when my parent's thing will be done so I can watch Tokyo Drift, wondering how I'm going to ask someone a particular question, wondering when something will happen in my life, wondering if I'll ever fall in love, wondering where I'll go to college. So many questions, many of them revolving around a select few persons.
BTW, I'm not sure I'll ever "fall in love" per say, love is a decision, not some random occurence similar to an unpleasant incident with a rather large pothole. But you can't just decide to love anyone, you have to be sure, but how sure can you ever really be? Oh well, I'm pretty darn young to be thinking about this kind of stuff, its fairly irrelevant at this point in my life. But one has to wonder *laughs* (new fav word) what makes love all worth it? I mean, just looking at the love lives of people around me, mostly my age, my friend's relationships rarely last very long, it was worse in junior high, when the relationship is done they're all heartbroken until they jump back on. Its so complicated, figuring out how far is too far, or worse, not figuring out how far is too far and getting hurt. Wondering if someone likes you, wondering if you like that someone.
Oh yeah, something else, wondering when people are going to get a clue! I'm a naturally outgoing person, I am not afraid to go up to some random person, introduce myself and start a conversation, I'm just not. Well, the people around me seem to interpret that as being outrageously flirtatious. I'm not! I'm friendly and I don't have to have all that back door brokering done before I can go up to some guy and strike up a conversation. Most girls my age (this is from someone else, I hadn't really noticed) are too shy to actually go up to a guy and talk, unless they already know them pretty well or their friend has talked to his friend and they know everything is okay or whatever.
*laughs* I don't think I've ever done that in my life... Anyways, its amazing how five lines can make your otherwise happy day, turn infinitely sour. That just happened, see I started this blog post yesterday, and I read something this morning that just made me unhappy again. *sighs* I suppose that's my overt sensitivity kicking in, really gotta curb that thing...

Layton's being a twinkie, something about the Kyoto agreement which I am reading about, sounds like a lot of eviromentalist stupidity so far but I have yet to talk to my dad about it... NDP is being very green lately and I don't get it, maybe they're trying to appeal to a younger demographic... you know the ones who don't have the nightmares with moderates chasing after them with really big sticks. Finally! Something else! I've been refreshing NNW for the past ten minutes... Not too much new, no reported injuries, the oil rig didn't leak so no massive oil clean ups, the tanker is now at port in the United Arab Emirates. There'll be way more on it tomorrow.

My dad pointed this out, the people who say they read the news and watch it on T.V., they don't really watch the news, they watch whatever the station has at the time. People who check real news sites that are live and update like every few minutes, yeah they get the news. Enjoy

Khan isn't ambidextrous

He's just... Khan. Long story... long, Wajid Khan is an immigrant from Pakistan, he was a pilot dude in the pakistani army and he moved to Canada in the 70's when he started his own used car dealership which has grown to become a chain of car dealerships. He got into politics and was elected as a liberal MP. Khan, being from Pakistan and absolutely brilliant, was approached by Harper and asked for his input in helping Harper better understand how to deal with the middle east. There was no pay or anything like that just a sense of duty Khan felt to better Canada. At that time the Opposition Leader was interim leader Bill Graham (who you may recall is a twinkie at politics) who could care less about the arrangement. Then the liberal leader election comes up and *gasp* now Dion's in "power" per say. Well Dion has some issues with HIS backbencher giving props to Harper, so he goes to Khan and says "Hey, choose. Liberal party with no chats with Harper or wherever else you want to go having whatever chats you want with whomever you want." Khan chose to walk the floor, he is now a Conservative backbencher and advice dude for Harper. Yeah, that's the way it played, I like him.

Speaking of Tories and Dems, I'm reading this book right now, How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must): the World According to Ann Coulter its a good book y'all, this girl is hilarious, she's smart too. I'm also reading Are You Liberal? Conservative? or Confused? by Rick Maybury good stuff, good stuff. He's smart too, not quite so "Down with the Dems" as Coulter because he's just talking about what politics is, then and now. Check 'em out.

Pain

Lots and lots and lots of pain. My thighs feel like someone has been dropping steel bricks on them from a ten story high building ALL day. My biceps feel like I've had my arms tied to 50 lb weights and I've had to hold them up ALL day. Guess where I went yesterday? Snowboarding then skiing at Sunshine. There have not been words coined to describe the amount of sheer agony I am in right now. I cannot believe it hurts this much, my friends aren't any better off. Delta could barely get off his chair this morning and Squeaky couldn't laugh because it hurt too much. I could barely walk and I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to get off my bed tomorrow morning. This. Is. Hell. The thing is, I'll probably do it all again someday. Oh yeah, and my throat feels like I drank battery acid this morning with my yogurt and eggs. I couldn't talk this morning it was so bad, I sound like a 90 year-old whose been smoking since they were 5. Sunday's going to be fun, I'll limp in and collapse into my chair which I won't move from until as late as possible. The stupidly unfair part of it all is, I suck at snowboarding AND skiing, pretty much all my friends got it except me, and they're going to be prancing all over the place on Sunday. This sucks.
I made a few friends though, Andrew, Christina and Nick, good discussions, great speakers, great food, great hotels, great views of the mountains. Yeah it was good. Christina was just fun to talk to and she always made sure everything was okay if I looked down. Andrew was fun to talk to, he hung out with us for the most part, good discussions with him... Nick was also a good conversationer, that boy is smart, people smart, book smart, randomly stupid stuff smart. He taught me how to make it down the hill on a snowboard without breaking my neck too! We talked almost the whole busride back from the conference centre, it was cool. Realized some things about God, myself, my friends, the person I like and evangelism. Good stuff y'all. I even got three books of matches!
*laughs* Delta was hitting on Andrew so hard, the poor boy never saw it coming... We were sitting in a Moxie's and after Jenelle tells him to, Delta starts playing with the back of Andrew's neck, the look on his face was priceless. Andrew never thought that would be in store when he asked to come with us... Anyways, I have sleep to catch up on, I think my collective sleep over the last 3 nights has been maybe 13 hours so I'm gonna go. I'll talk to y'all later if I can get to my computer...

Of my foster sisters, we had them for a year before they were adopted... that was good but I miss them sometimes. I looked through their photo box this morning... so many memories, some bad, some good. I love those girls, they are so beautiful, I have their Christmas picture in my wallet. Along w/my parent's pics and one of me that I need to give to my friend *makes mental note*. I need more wallet photos... friends, reli's, more friends... Goodness knows I have enough friends and relatives. I have a pretty sizable family, mostly on my mom's side though, its cool. Lots of people to talk to at the family reunions... Well, I have to go shopping for snowpants and then ENGAGE BABY WOOHOO!!!! Talk to y'all later.

First Post of 2007

This post feels special... just ask it. Well, I don't know about you but my 2006 was pretty good. I made some friends, like Delta, Jess, FoW and pretty much the rest of the youth group. I've grown so much this year, physically, spiritually, mentally, just looking at pictures of me a year ago, reading my journal entries. So much has changed. Some good, some not so good. A new year, another chance, more dreams to dream, more times to blow it, more times to fix it. A promising new beginning. Well I'm done being philisophical, woohooo! A new year!!! I'll talk to y'all later.
